Perast Eyeballs Training Separate

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived in Europe, an incredible service that lets you borrow people’s eyeballs, a wonderful museum, and the essential topic of money and how to get ahead financially. Let’s get right into it.

Have you ever heard of Montenegro? Most people haven’t. Before I lived there, the only time I heard about Montenegro was in Casino Royale, the James Bond movie. M says to James Bond that they’re going to “have a high stakes poker game in Montenegro”. Montenegro is to the east of Italy, right across the Adriatic Sea. And if you look at Montenegro on a map, on the west coast of it along the water towards the upper west coast you’re going to see the water sort of come into the land and the water is kind of in the shape of, let’s say, the wings of an angel. Around the outline of those angel wings are incredibly tall mountains.

It’s a visually stunning place and because it is in Europe all the architecture has this beautiful old stone design with orange tile roofs. The water comes directly to the edge of this little town and there are a handful of beautiful restaurants right along the water. A lot of the buildings have some flowers which add some great color. When you’re walking through Perest, you’re surrounded by mountains all around you, it’s an absolutely stunning place.

And there’s a beautiful Church in the middle of the buildings and talking about churches, they actually have two churches on two little islands directly in front of Perast. I’ve never seen a church on an island. Perast has two of them. As the sun is setting behind the mountains, and the mountains turn pitch black, and the other little villages around the edge start to light up. Such a beautiful thing to see.

Now what happens if you can’t see any of these beautiful things? I found this tweet that said “So I downloaded this app called Be My Eyes a while ago. You get FaceTime calls from blind people all over the world and help them with whatever task they need help with. I just got my first call and helped her pick out almond milk. Something so small made her day.” 

I didn’t think that was real, so I had to look it up.

Turns out there is something called Be My Eyes and right on the homepage of the website, it says “See the world together. Be My Eyes connects people needing sighted support with volunteers and companies through live video around the world.” 

How beautiful, how wonderful and what a great use of technology!

Further down the page, there are two sections. On one side, it says ‘Blind and low vision – access visual information with ease’. On the other side, it says ‘Volunteers – simplify tasks for people with low vision’. 

What a lovely, beautiful thing! There’s a lot of awful things going on in the world today, but when I see this, I’m like, you know what, there’s hope for the future of humanity! When I see people taking time out of their day to help other people with their vision, it’s really beautiful. I’m so happy that something like this exists.

Talking about wonderful things, before we even get inside The United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum building I have to say the outside of the building looks like a giant art sculpture! It looks like it’s made out of metal; it might even be triangular from above. It’s really big. I was going to talk about the architectural part of this, which is visually stunning from the outside, but what’s more interesting is what’s on the inside.

One of their more popular exhibits is called ‘Athlete Training’. One part of the exhib犀利士 it features a kid standing on skis and he has a screen in front of him, kind of like a video game but for skiing. And then there’s a kid that looks like he’s going to do the long jump. Then there’s someone with a bow and arrow – but it doesn’t look like a real bow and arrow; it looks plastic with a rubber thing on the end so you don’t hurt yourself. And the last one looks like they have a track indoors and it says, ‘Speed includes a running simulator’ – I think that’s probably the one on the track. ‘Aim’ this is the one with the bow and arrow, says it’s “virtual archery bow and target”. How cool is that? I would love to do that. 

I love the idea of going to a museum and being able to physically interact with the exhibits. There’s nothing wrong with going to a museum and looking at paintings or old vases or something like that. That’s fine, but if you can find some way to get the visitors to physically interact with the exhibits, it’s going to be so much better, a lot more immersive. 

For example, let’s say you’re a California Gold Rush Museum (if that’s a thing), it would be a great idea if you had some shovels in the back and you could let kids dig for gold. That seems like such a fun thing.

And let’s say you’re the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, they should have a mechanical bull so you could get on it and ride it to see what the riders physically have to go through. Get your museum guests to physically get involved with the exhibits to make your museum more fun.

One of my favorite topics is money, specifically this very, very fundamental core concept of one of the ways a lot of people make a lot of money. Here we have a drop of sweat, an equal sign, and a dollar bill. Let’s make believe that the drop of sweat is you working for a week. The equal sign obviously is pretty simple, equals, and then the dollar bill, let’s say that’s a paycheck.

Basically, this equation is saying that one week of work equals one paycheck, that’s typically how most people make money. They work for a week, and then they get paid for that week. They never get paid for that week of work ever, ever again. It’s just one time. 

Here’s the concept to understand here, separating your inputs from your outputs goes like this: Let’s say you took a week away from work, now of course you wouldn’t be getting paid from your job but during that week you created something that you can sell over and over and over again. Maybe you can create a course, maybe you can create some sort of ebook, maybe you can start a podcast or YouTube channel.

Why that’s important is because once that thing is done, you can now sell that thing over and over again. At some point (depending on how successful you are at this), those sales are going to equal what you would make during that week you took off from work. 

You’re going to be able to sell that one week of work over and over again because you’re no longer working to make the money, this product is working for you. There’s no limit here but there is a limit to how much you can physically work, right? You cannot work 365 days straight, you’ll burn out. You cannot work 24 hours a day, you’ll die. So there is a cap to how much you can physically work, but there is no cap to how many times you can sell a digital product. There’s just no cap to how many times someone can buy your course. It’s a different way of thinking about money. Take the time to create products that work for you so that way you don’t have to work for money.
